[toggle title=”Why are you called 30 Day Books?”]

The name reflects how we started back in 2010, publishing books that had a ’30 day’ element. First was ’30 Day GMAT Success’, followed by ‘Wow! Glowing Bride in 30 Days’. Eventually the books we created expanded outside of this model, and we began experimenting with different areas within the book industry. We still like the name though, because so much can happen in 30 days.

[toggle title=”What is a book studio?”]We love everything about books, and we are always trying new adventures within the field. So we don’t limit ourselves by calling the company an “indie-publisher”, “marketing consultants”, or “author website designers”. We are lifestyle entrepreneurs who write, read, review, produce, market AND promote books. To see our full list of projects and experience, see here. [/toggle]

[toggle title=”How did you start?”]You can read our story here. [/toggle]

[toggle title=”How are you different?”]

We focus on the personal, tailor-made touch. We use your book as a starting point and then create our plan. We actually make a point to read your book!! We only take on a few clients at any given time in order to make the personalized experience possible.

Our prices are reasonable, realistic and affordable. Since we are a small but capable studio we try to keep everything in-house and our overheads low. This means you get the best bang for your buck!

We pride ourselves on good service, transparent values and quality deliverables. We’ll market your book in an honest way with no compromise on results.

We’re authors too, both indie and traditionally published. We understand that you want to be perceived as a professional, that you are nervous about reviews, that sometimes it’s hard to toot your own horn and so on: all of the things that authors feel. We’re here to give you our best advice on these elements too and mentor you through the process.

[toggle title=”What training do you have?”]The best kind – experience! With five books under our belts and plenty of participation in author marketing and promotional campaigns, we believe that this is the stuff college can’t teach you. We are always experimenting, we always keeping an eye on numbers and figures, and we stay progressive by learning about the industry’s news and advances as they happen. [/toggle]

[toggle title=”How many authors do you work with at one time?”]Depending on what other projects we have going on, it can be anywhere from 3-8. 8 is the absolute maximum number of clients we will consider working with at anyone time. 5 is a good number and is closer to our average. [/toggle]

[toggle title=”What can you do for me?”]

We can be involved as much or as little as you wish. Some authors want a basic book marketing plan created, and then feel confident enough to follow it by themselves. Other authors prefer to work with us long-term, buying packages of 10 or 20 hours a month and having us involved in every step.

You can see our “official” list of services here, but please note that this is an incomplete and high flexible menu. Just tell us what you need and we’ll make it happen!

[toggle title=”Who is your ideal client?”]

He or she would be: Enthusiastic, excited about their book, willing to get creative, understands planning for the long-term, an “authorpreneur”.

[toggle title=”I’m in Europe, can we still work together?”]

– Yes, absolutely!  Laura is a Brit herself, and often phones “home” at lunchtime. We like to check in with clients by phone, but email is sufficient, and if you have Skype then we can speak in the US morning and Europe’s late afternoon/ evenings. No problem :)

[toggle title=”How does the process work?”]

We set up a consultation and you tell me all about your book and goals. I ask some questions. After our call, I send you a proposal which you are free to tweak or approve. Then we get started! I like to see a copy of your book (digital or print) and I’ll start to work my magic. I give you updates and small tasks along the way, and we’ll check in with each other regularly until we have achieved what we set out to do.

[toggle title=”Can you help me build a website?”]

Yes! Brandon is the tech whizz around here. Laura also build and designs wordpress websites. Unlike some web designers, we understand the important elements that an author website (essentially your “shop front”) must have. We like to balance effectiveness with design, so that your site not only looks great but it does what it needs to do: helps you to sell books!!

See some of our example author websites here.
